This information is collected from you under the authority of Section 26(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) and is subject to all of the provisions of that Act. The information will be used by the Ministry of Social Development, its service providers and associates of those service providers to administer the Employment Program of British Columbia (EPBC). The information may also be used by the Ministry of Social Development to administer the Employment and Assistance Act and the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Act, and could impact your receipt of assistance under those Acts.
Many EPBC Services are provided by British Columbia under an agreement with Canada made pursuant to section 63 of the Employment Insurance (EI) Act. If you participate in these Services, under the authority of Section 33.1(d) of FOIPPA, your name, date of birth, contact information and SIN may also be disclosed to the Department of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) or the Canada Employment Insurance commission to administer the EI Act, which could impact your receipt of Employment Insurance benefits. The Canada Employment Insurance Commission may also use this information for policy analysis, research or evaluation purposes.
